A school bag is the most visible part of the kit, but it's not just about looks. For an underprivileged child, owning a real school bag is the difference between carrying their books in a polythene cover and walking to school like every other child in the class.
₹300 is enough for a sturdy bag with proper straps and room for the year's books. One bag, one child, one whole academic year.
What ₹250 Buys — Notebooks
Notebooks are where a year of school becomes a year of education. For a child whose family can't easily spend ₹250 on a stack of books, an empty desk on day one is the same as no school at all — you can't take notes, you can't do homework, you can't keep up.
₹250 covers the notebooks one child needs to actually do school for a year — not just sit through it.
