Homeless Welfare

At Smile With Shine Welfare Society, we believe that every human being deserves a safe place to rest their head and a warm meal to sustain them. We reach out to individuals and families living on streets and open spaces — people who have been rendered invisible by circumstance.

We have connected with many homeless individuals across our communities, providing nutritious meals, warm clothing, and hygiene kits. Every person we reach is treated with the respect and dignity they deserve — because homelessness is a circumstance, not an identity.

02 — HIV & AIDS

HIV & AIDS

HIV and AIDS continue to carry an unjust stigma that isolates those who need support the most. Smile With Shine Welfare Society stands firmly beside People Living with HIV/AIDS, offering a safe and non-judgmental space where they can access care, counselling, and community.

We have provided nutritional support, along with winter care and hygiene kits. Every person living with HIV deserves a life free from shame and full of possibility.

03 — Leprosy Care

Leprosy Care

Leprosy, one of the world's oldest diseases, continues to affect thousands across India — and those who survive it are often left to battle a second, harder battle: social exclusion.

Smile With Shine Welfare Society reaches out to leprosy-affected individuals and their families who have been pushed to the margins of society, living in leprosy colonies with required ration, winter care and delicious meals.

04 — Visual Impairment

Blind & Visually Impaired Empowerment

Vision may be limited, but potential is not. At Smile With Shine Welfare Society, we work alongside blind and visually impaired individuals to ensure they have every opportunity to thrive — in education, employment, and daily life.

We support families in understanding and embracing the potential of their visually impaired loved ones. Because a world with equal opportunity begins when every person can participate in it fully.

05 — Disability Inclusion

Disability Inclusion & Support

Persons with disabilities — physical, intellectual, or developmental — deserve lives of full participation, not passive existence on the edges of society.

Smile With Shine Welfare Society addresses the multiple barriers faced by differently-abled individuals across our communities. We have reached many colonies and provided support and care for the individuals and families.

06 — Elderly Care

Elderly Care & Protection

Old age should be a time of peace, not abandonment. Yet thousands of elderly individuals across India face neglect, abuse, poverty, and isolation in what should be their golden years.

Smile With Shine Welfare Society believes in the conviction that our elders deserve security, love, and dignity — always. We provide healthy and delicious meals in old age homes, during celebrations, and provide essential items to the elderly.

07 — Widow Support

Widow Support & Empowerment

The loss of a husband in India can mean far more than grief — for many women, it brings economic collapse, social exclusion, and vulnerability.

Smile With Shine Welfare Society stands with widows to ensure that the end of a marriage does not mean the end of a dignified life. A widow is not defined by her loss — she is defined by her strength.

08 — Orphan Care

Orphan Care & Education

Every child deserves a childhood — filled with learning, safety, and the warmth of care. For children who have lost their parents or been abandoned, Smile With Shine Welfare Society steps in to ensure that they are never without a nurturing community behind them.

We have identified orphaned and vulnerable children living on streets, in informal settlements, and with distant relatives who could not meet their needs. We have enrolled them in schools, and provided learning materials. Our holistic child development approach ensures that every child receives not just education but emotional support, nutrition, and healthcare.

09 — Transgender Welfare

Transgender Welfare

India's transgender community — one of the most marginalised groups in the country — faces discrimination in housing, healthcare, employment, and education at every turn.

Smile With Shine Welfare Society walks alongside transgender individuals with unwavering respect, offering not pity but genuine partnership. We encourage their achievements and believe that a society that leaves anyone behind is not truly equal.

10 — Government Schools

Government School Development Programmes

Quality education should not be a privilege. In many government schools across our areas of work, children study in crumbling buildings, lack toilets and drinking water, and are taught with outdated or insufficient materials.

Smile With Shine Welfare Society works hand-in-hand with school administrations, local governments, and communities to transform these spaces into nurturing learning environments. Every repaired school is a declaration: these children matter, and their futures matter.

11 — Youth Empowerment

Adolescent & Youth Empowerment

The youth of today are not just the leaders of tomorrow — they are changemakers of today, if given the right tools and opportunities. We conduct awareness sessions for adolescent girls, to break stigma and myths.

We invest in young people between the ages of 13 and 25, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to shape their own futures. We believe that every young person who rises lifts their entire community with them.

12 — Learning Centres

Child Learning Centres (CLC)

Not every child can access a formal school — but every child has the right to learn. Smile With Shine Welfare Society's Community Learning Centres (CLCs) bring education directly to the doorsteps of the most underserved communities, operating in slums, tribal settlements, migrant colonies, and remote villages.

Our CLCs serve as vibrant neighbourhood hubs where children who are out of school, those who have dropped out, and those at risk of dropping out receive remedial education, bridge courses, and learning support tailored to their pace and context. We use activity-based, child-friendly pedagogy that makes learning joyful and relevant.
