At Smile With Shine, interns and volunteers are not observers — they are on the ground with our team. Every intern joins our Tuesday Breakfast Drives, sits in on Community Learning Centre sessions, meets the elderly and children in our care, and helps document the work. It is real, human, and hands-on from day one.

College Students Complete Their Internship With Smile With Shine

We are delighted to share that college students successfully completed their internship with Smile With Shine Welfare Society. During their internship, they gained valuable practical knowledge, learned about community service, and developed a deeper understanding of working with vulnerable and underprivileged communities.

The students actively participated in various organisational activities and showed great enthusiasm to learn. We were happy to guide and support them throughout their internship journey — helping them enhance their skills, confidence, and understanding of social work practices. As a token of appreciation and encouragement, we presented small gifts to the students. Their bright smiles reflected their happiness and satisfaction with the learning experience.

The internship journey concluded on a joyful note. As a heartfelt gesture of gratitude, the students in turn presented a beautiful gift to our organisation. Their thoughtful gesture, happiness, and smiling faces made the occasion truly memorable. It was inspiring to witness their growth, enthusiasm, and positive spirit throughout the internship. What you will do

Where interns and volunteers work with us

A Smile With Shine internship is a rotation across our real programmes — not a desk-bound task list. Depending on your interest and the length of your programme, you may work across some or all of these.

Tuesday Breakfast Drives

Pre-dawn kitchen, on-road serving, roadside stops, coolie addas. The single most on-ground week of your internship.

Community Learning Centres

Sit in on doorstep classroom sessions for out-of-school children in slums and migrant colonies across Telangana.

Elderly & Widow Welfare

Home visits, ration support, and companionship for elderly residents and single mothers our team stands beside.

Educational Kits Drive

Annual distribution of school kits at the start of the academic year — from sourcing to packing to on-ground handover.

Fundraising & Storytelling

Photograph a drive, write a recap, plan a small campaign, learn how a small NGO tells its story honestly.

Documentation & Data

Record who we served, at what cost, on what day. Build the discipline every credible NGO needs.

Who should apply

Who we are looking for

Our internships and volunteer roles are open to college students, recent graduates, and working professionals who want to give time — a few hours a week, a few weeks, or a full semester.

College Students

Sociology, social work, psychology, journalism, education, public policy, design, IT, business — every discipline can find a home in this work.

Recent Graduates

A three- or six-month rotation before your first job — giving you real field experience, references, and a sense of what the sector actually looks like.

Working Professionals

Weekend volunteers, skills-based volunteering (photography, writing, accounting, IT, legal), or short weekday commitments during drives.
