20 Brand-New Benches for Our Children's Home — A Gift From Rotary Club of Secunderabad Sunrise

20 brand-new benches donated by Rotary Club of Secunderabad Sunrise to the Smile With Shine Children's Home in Hyderabad
"As per my request, today we received 20 brand-new benches for our Children's Home from Rotary Club of Secunderabad Sunrise. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Praveen Jain Garu and Srinivas Garu for their generous support and kindness."

A children's home is not just a roof over a child's head. It is the place where they eat, sleep, study, laugh, and grow. And every piece of furniture inside that home — every table, every chair, every bench — quietly shapes the kind of childhood our children get to have.

Today, our Children's Home received a gift that will make a real, everyday difference: 20 brand-new benches, donated by the Rotary Club of Secunderabad Sunrise. This was in response to a request we made on behalf of our children — and the club, along with two remarkable individuals, said yes without hesitation.

A Request That Was Answered With Kindness

Some time ago, we shared a simple request with the Rotary Club of Secunderabad Sunrise: our Children's Home needed proper benches for the children to sit on while they study, eat, and gather together. The old arrangement was making it difficult for the children to focus for long stretches of time — and for growing children, comfort during study hours is not a luxury, it is a foundation.

The response was immediate and warm. Today, those 20 brand-new benches arrived at our Children's Home — a direct answer to that request and a beautiful demonstration of what Rotary service looks like in practice.

As per my request, today we received 20 brand-new benches for our Children's Home from Rotary Club of Secunderabad Sunrise. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Praveen Jain Garu and Srinivas Garu for their generous support and kindness.

Thank You, Praveen Jain Garu and Srinivas Garu

Behind every donation are the people who chose to make it happen. Our deepest thanks to Praveen Jain Garu and Srinivas Garu for their generous support and kindness. It was their commitment that turned a request into a reality — and their goodwill that made sure our children received not just any benches, but brand-new ones, built to last through many academic years.

We are also deeply grateful to the entire Rotary Club of Secunderabad Sunrise for standing behind this cause. When a service club and individual donors come together like this, the result is not just a piece of furniture — it is a message to every child in the home that someone, somewhere, cares enough to invest in their learning.

Why 20 Benches Matter

On the surface, it is a simple donation. Twenty benches. A few pieces of wood and metal. But look a little closer, and you will see what these benches actually mean for the children of our Children's Home:

Our Children's Response

Our children are very happy and excited to use the brand-new benches donated to our Children's Home. You could see it in their faces the moment the benches were placed in the room — a mix of surprise, pride, and eager anticipation to sit down and start using them.

These benches will provide a comfortable and better learning environment, helping our children focus on their studies and daily activities. For children who spend hours every day reading, writing, and preparing for school, a proper bench is not a small thing. It is the difference between fidgeting through study time and settling into it.

A Lasting Impact on Their Education

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Praveen Jain Garu and Srinivas Garu for their generous support and kindness. Your thoughtful contribution has brought great joy to our children and will have a lasting impact on their education.

Education is not built in grand moments alone. It is built in the quiet, everyday details — a good bench to sit on, a table at the right height, light that reaches the notebook, a peaceful corner to open a book. Every one of those details either supports a child's learning or works against it. Today, one of those details has been quietly, decisively fixed for the children of our home — and it will keep supporting them for years to come.

A Note of Gratitude

Thank you for making a meaningful difference in the lives of our children. We are also grateful to Rotary Club of Secunderabad Sunrise for supporting this noble cause.

In a world that often overlooks the everyday needs of children in care, it means so much when a service club and its members step forward with clarity and kindness. You did not just donate benches. You told our children: your learning matters, your comfort matters, and we are here to support both.

For that, from the whole Smile With Shine family — and especially from the children who will sit on these benches every single day — thank you.
