Why Raincoats Matter
Many of the children we work with walk to school. In the monsoon, that walk means arriving at class in wet clothes, soaked bags and sometimes ruined books — and then sitting through the day cold and uncomfortable. A single raincoat quietly removes that problem for a whole season.
- Attendance. Children who might otherwise skip school on heavy-rain days now show up.
- Health. Fewer cold-and-cough days means fewer missed lessons.
- Books and bags stay dry. Homework stays intact; notebooks last the term.
- Dignity. A child in a bright new raincoat walks to school looking — and feeling — cared for.
