1st Anniversary Celebration Continues: Stationery Kits & Nutritious Food Packs for 60+ Primary Government School Children

Primary government school children in Hyderabad holding stationery kits and food packs received from Smile With Shine Welfare Society as part of the 1st Anniversary Celebration on 16 July 2026
“As part of the 1st Anniversary Celebration of Smile With Shine Welfare Society, we distributed stationery kits containing notebooks, pencils, pens, sharpeners, and erasers, along with nutritious food packs to more than 60 primary government school children. The program was filled with joy, enthusiasm, and meaningful moments as the children happily received the support.”

Our 1st Anniversary is not a single-day affair. The anniversary lunch on July 6, 2026 opened the celebration, and through July our team has been converting that goodwill into small, tangible acts of service across Hyderabad. On Wednesday, July 16, 2026, that continued in a primary government school where more than 60 children received a complete stationery kit and a nutritious food pack from the Smile With Shine Welfare Society team.

This is a short field recap of that morning — the kits, the children, and the smiles that made it worth every rupee.

One classroom. One morning. Sixty small hands walking out with something that most of their classmates already have on Day One of school — a full set of writing materials, and a fresh food pack to carry home.

What Was in Each Kit

Every child received the same complete kit — no shortages, no picking-and-choosing:

Stationery kit

Nutritious food pack

The stationery is the immediate use. The food pack is the small extra that says we thought of you beyond the classroom too.

The Way Each Kit Was Handed Over

The same principle that guides every Smile With Shine drive guided this one: hand-to-hand, eye-to-eye. Each child came up individually. The kit and food pack were placed into their own hands, not left on a table. A few words were exchanged. A photograph, if the child wanted one. And then the next child.

The senior team was on the ground personally — Smt. Grace Mani (Founder), Sri. Gangarapu Satyapal (General Secretary), Sri. Lazarus (Treasurer) and Smt. Mary (Advisor) — alongside the volunteer team who packed the kits the day before and set up the venue on the morning of.

The Bright Smiles Made the Anniversary Special

“The bright smiles and happiness of the children made our anniversary celebration truly special.

Seeing their excitement encourages us to continue our mission of supporting children’s education, well-being, and future dreams. Their smiles are the greatest reward for our service and inspire us to serve with even greater dedication and compassion.”

There is no photograph that fully captures a room of 60 children opening a bag of new pencils for the first time. What comes through in the pictures below is only a fraction — the quick smiles, the tightly-clutched kit, the shy pose for the camera. But every one of those small moments is what turned a stationery distribution into an anniversary celebration.

A Personal Note of Gratitude — To the Founder’s Parents

Every drive Smile With Shine runs has a story behind it — and behind many of them stands the quiet, unwavering support of the founder’s family. On this anniversary, our founder wanted to record a personal note of gratitude to the two people who continue to show up beside her at every programme, every step of the way:

💐 A Note From the Founder

“I am truly blessed to have such wonderful parents who support and encourage me in every program and every step of my journey. Their love, guidance, and constant presence give me the strength and confidence to serve others with dedication.

Seeing them actively participate and beautifully support our programs fills my heart with happiness and gratitude. I sincerely thank God for blessing me with such caring and supportive parents. They are one of the greatest gifts God has given me, and I will always be grateful for their love and encouragement.”

— Smt. Grace Mani, Founder, Smile With Shine Welfare Society

We share this note here for the same reason we share the pictures — because the work of any welfare society is never done alone, and the people who quietly hold up the person leading it deserve to be named.

Why This Drive Sits Inside a Bigger Story

This is not a one-off distribution. Supporting children’s education is one of our year-round commitments. The stationery kit for a primary school child is a smaller sibling of the full Educational Kit we distribute at the start of the academic year, and it lives alongside our Community Learning Centres where children who are out of school, have dropped out or are at risk continue to learn.

An anniversary is a good excuse. The work is the point.
